100多年前Baan Nan Khong寥无人烟，为躲避战乱，几户人家从缅甸老挝等邻国迁徙到这，过着近乎原始的自给自足的生活。 几年前政府帮他们修建了公路，这片世外桃源亦结束了她与外界几近隔绝的生活。
村民们深知保护他们赖以生存的森林的重要，因此在100多年间这里几乎没有变化。由于与外界联系的不断增加，人们开始向往更现代的生活。然而当地落后的生产力带来的微薄收入和村民们保护这片森林的愿望产生了矛盾.....
